Béla Trio
The Béla Trio is quickly distinguishing themselves as unique interpreters of diverse 20th and
21st century repertoire. Composed of violinist Stephanie Bonk, clarinetist Kelsi Doolittle, and pianist
Owen Dodds, the trio has gained recognition as part of the Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber Players and
as semifinalists in the Coltman Chamber Music Competition. They were recently invited to attend the
Techne Music Festival, where they were recipients of the Donald Spieth Memorial Award. The Béla
Trio formed at the doctoral program at Stony Brook University and its members currently reside and
perform in New York.
Marinho Quartet
Founded in 2024 at the Techne Music Festival in Bethlehem, PA, the Marinho Quartet was named winner of
the 2024 Donald Spieth Memorial Award after working closely together for only five days. They have had
the opportunity to perform in masterclasses and work with renowned chamber music artists such as Peter
Winograd of the American String Quartet and Thomas Kraines of the Daedalus Quartet. They additionally
had the privilege to work closely with Techne Music's esteemed faculty, including Sheila Browne,
Timothy Schwarz, and Lawrence Stomberg.
