Techne Music is proud to announce the return of Philadelphia Orchestra First Associate Concertmaster Juliette Kang, and Daedalus Quartet cellist Thomas Kraines as special guest artists. In addition to giving a chamber music masterclass, they will also join Techne faculty Timothy Schwarz, Molly Carr, and Lawrence Stomberg in Schubert's famous Cello Quintet, D. 956.
In addition, Techne Music will host three seminars, each designed to for classical musicians to expand their musical horizons. Violinist Diane Monroe will present an introduction to jazz improvisation class and a classical chamber music masterclass; Cellist Kinan Abou-afach will present an introduction to Arab music improvisation, and Ariel Weiss-Holyst will lead an Alexander Technique session designed specifically for string players in a chamber music setting.
Our outstanding faculty members Timothy Schwarz (violin/viola), Molly Carr (viola), and Lawrence Stomberg (cello) will continue to offer daily chamber music coaching, individual lessons, and personal guidance for a career in classical music.
